Our College Library
Janata College Library has a separate building in the middle of the college campus with over 11200 numbers of books and journals. A reading room is attached to the library with a seating capacity for 50 students. Two desktops having digital study materials are kept in the corridor connecting the library and the study room is accessed by the students. An E-Library room is attached to the library with 10 desktop with internet connectivity for 20 students & college staffs.
The library functions for 9.30 AM to 4.30 PM. The library is partially automated. Besides the central library the departmental library is also functioning in department of History, Pol. Sc., Sanskrit, Odia, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany and Zoology.
Library Automation
The library was fully automated in the year 2019 with the ILMS software PHP Web Application. The automation process that was started in 2018 was completed by 2019 with database of all its holding with the following three main functional features.

2. Cataloguing system
3. Circulation system (Issue & Return)
